Selena Fu, MD

Dr. Selena Fu studied biology and graduated magna cum laude from the University of California, Irvine.  She earned her medical degree from the prestigious Johns Hopkins School of Medicine.  After an internship at UCLA Olive View Medical Center, Dr. Fu pursued an Ophthalmology residency at the renowned Baylor College of Medicine. 

 

Her interest in ophthalmic plastic surgery led her to complete an advanced fellowship in oculoplastic surgery at the University of Texas, Southwestern.  The services she provides include blepharoplasty/eyelid lift, removal of eye “bags” or excess eyelid skin, eyebrow lift, injection of botox, fillers, such as Juvederm, and cosmetic facial rejuvenation treatment. She also specializes in reconstructive procedures such as droopy eyelid repair, eyelid tumor excision, orbital fracture repair, and lacrimal / tear duct surgeries. She is board-certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery.
 
She has published articles in major scientific journals and authored and presented papers at annual meetings of national ophthalmology organizations.  She is actively involved in teaching the latest techniques in ophthalmology and cosmetic surgery through hands-on instruction and international lecturing.
 
Dr. Fu practiced for years in Ohio and California before relocating to the Kansas area in 2015.  Her goal is to provide excellent personalized patient care in all areas of eye care.  As a board-certified Oculoplastic surgery specialist, she provides customized care while utilizing all of her skills and training to achieve the best possible result in each case. She is truly committed to achieving the highest level of cosmetic and reconstructive results while preserving vision and improving her patient’s quality of life.
 

Rachel Lawson, RN, BSN

Rachel has worked in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology/Bone Marrow Transplant at Children’s Mercy for 12 years. Working in this specialty has forever changed her life and it made her a strong, compassionate, and kind soul.  She treasures every moment of it, the good, the bad, the heart-wrenching reality. There is truly nothing like Hem/Onc.

She had absolutely no idea she would love aesthetics nursing until one day she tried a lovely facial. Before she knew it, she jumped head first into the aesthetic world and wanted to learn it all and provide all the services. After she started injecting neurotoxin and dermal fillers, she genuinely fell in love with how she could make others feel. Outside of nursing, she is married to a firefighter, a mom of two girls, and a cute bull terrier named Franklin. She is obsessed with traveling and wants to see and experience the world! She enjoys working out, skiing, hiking and the beach. She is a huge supporter of doing whatever makes you happy and being your true self. She can’t wait to meet you and help you reach your aesthetic goals!

Raquel always had a passion for medical aesthetics. She has been practicing in aesthetics since she was certified through Aesthetic Medical Trainers in 2022.  It is her passion to help others feel beautiful in their own skin and enhance their natural beauty through the latest advancement in medical aesthetics.

Raquel also works at Saint Luke’s Hospital in the Float Pool part time. This opportunity allows her to work on every floor in the hospital gaining knowledge about every condition. Float pool always challenges her to adapt and learn quickly in every situation. She truly enjoys caring for the diverse patient population and the variety of conditions she gets to treat. This has made her a compassionate, adaptable and well-rounded nurse.

Outside of nursing, her hobbies include traveling the world, fitness/wellness, and spending time with her family. She lives with her husband Jordan and their two dogs, Max and Luna. She cannot wait to see you in her chair and help you achieve all your aesthetic goals!

Kennedy joined our team as an Administrative Assistant and Social Media Coordinator. Kennedy is attending Metropolitan Community College and plans to further her education with a Bachelor’s degree in Corporate Marketing at Northwest University. Kennedy is a bright and positive individual who will always greet you with a smile the second you walk through the door. Kennedy loves to read and spend time with her family.

Beyond her professional life, Jess enjoys spending quality time with her husband. She finds inspiration and balance by exploring the great outdoors while soaking up the sunshine! In addition to her technical expertise, Melissa enjoys identifying opportunities and building strong client relationships. Her ability to understand client needs and align them with an aesthetic solution has resulted in her success. She is committed to staying at the forefront of the aesthetics industry. She actively engages in continuous learning and professional development. Outside of work, Melissa enjoys time with her family and friends. Her hobbies include running, hot yoga, Zumba, trampoline parks, and anything related to water, sand, and sunshine!
